‘Sentimental Journey’

“Sentimental Journey,” one of the last flying World War II B-17 bombers, makes a stop locally 9 a.m.-5 p.m. today-Sunday at the DeKalb County Airport, 2710 DeKalb County Road 60, Suite 200, Auburn.
The bomber was used by the American Air Force during the war, and fewer than 10 remain in flying condition. “Sentimental Journey” features pinup girl Betty Grable on the nose, and the plane's name is based on Doris Day's hit song in 1945.
Flights start at $425 a person. Reservations: 1-602-448-9415 or email b17rc@azcaf.org. Cockpit tours are $5. Ground viewing and photos may be taken free of charge.

Planetarium shows

This is the last weekend to enjoy planetarium shows at the University of Saint Francis, 2701 Spring St., at the Edwin Clark Schouweiler Memorial Planetarium.
“A Solar System Adventure Tour,” which is appropriate for grades 2-4 and parents, begins at 3:30 p.m. Friday. “Explorers of Mauna Kea,” which is appropriate for grades 5 and older, begins at 7 p.m. Friday. “Zubenelgenubi's Magical Sky,” which is appropriate for pre-kindergarten to first-graders and their parents, begins at 3:30 p.m. Saturday.
Cost is $4 for adults, $3 for seniors and children under age 18 with a $14 family maximum. Wear a TRF button and receive a $1 discount.
