The city planted about 10-15 mini decorative trees on the east side of Old Trail Road a few years back, all but one have died, and the city came through and removed all the full grown native trees on the west side this spring — great work, planning and wasting taxpayer money!
I wish the legislators who passed this inane fireworks bill could spend the night in my neighborhood. It sounds like a war zone. My house smells like gunpowder. My dogs are traumatized, and I am stressed worrying that my house or garage is going to burn down.
People who want to purchase fireworks should be screened first to determine if they are bright enough to read and tell time. Anyone who cannot do one or the other is not bright enough to handle fireworks. Shooting off fireworks at 3:38 a.m. (on a recent) Sunday morning is not indicative of bright people. Were they not able to read the rules, or were they not able to tell time?
I read in the paper that a mother is charged for paddling her child. I got paddled as a child. I learned right from wrong. What is wrong with this picture? What is wrong is that we even heard about the spanking?
