Fort Wayne/Allen County road work for week of July 15

Installation of a cross-pipe will prompt the closure of a segment of Aboite Center Road for three days, during specific intervals.

The closure affects Aboite Center Road between West Hamilton Road and Eggeman Road, according to the Allen County Highway Department. The work will be performed from Tuesday to Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. only. However, the closure begins at 8 a.m. on Tuesday.

Segment of Auburn Road to be closed until end of August

A segment of Auburn Road is closed until the end of August while a new sanitary sewer main is installed.

The closures will be during daytime hours only, with the work taking place on Auburn Road between Union Chapel Road and Pion Road, according to the Allen County Highway Department.

The work is scheduled for completion by 5 p.m. Aug. 30.

Doyle Road railroad crossing to be closed, reconstructed Wednesday

A railroad crossing on Doyle Road will be closed Wednesday for reconstruction.

The crossing, located between Edgerton Road and Dawkins Road, will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., according to the Allen County Highway Department.

Railroad crossing to be replaced on New Haven's Hartzell Road

Hartzell Road at the Norfolk Southern railroad tracks in New Haven will be closed until Wednesday morning while a railroad crossing is replaced.

The closure is scheduled to end at 10 a.m. Wednesday, and a marked detour has been provided.

Segment of New Haven's Tanglewood Drive closed Monday

New Haven's Tanglewood Drive at Rose Avenue in New Haven will be closed Monday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in order for work to be performed on the Rose Avenue Water Main Improvement Project.

I-469 northbound lane restrictions continue

Interstate 469 northbound restrictions of the right lane that began this week will continue in the days ahead.

Concrete restoration work is being performed between Exit 15 (Tillman Road) and Exit 19 (U.S. 30), with that work expected to be finished by the close of business Friday, weather permitting.

Another right-hand lane restriction between Exit 21 (U.S. 24) and Exit 29 (Maplecrest Road) is expected to be finished by the close of business on Aug. 2, again, if weather permits.

The speed limit in those work zones is reduced to 60 mph except when workers are present, when it is then 45 mph. The work is being performed from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day, and traffic markers such as cones and barrels will be deployed to direct traffic, as neeeded, according to the Indiana Department of Transporation.
