•Gov. Mike Pence has appointed John Popp, president and CEO of Aunt Millie's Bakeries, to the Indiana Commission for Higher Education for a four-year term. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan. Paula Hughes consultant for both nonprofit and private sector clients will serve on the board of trustees. She served as second district elected representative on the Allen county Council from 2003 to 2010. She earned her undergraduate degree from Indiana University and her master's degree from the University of Saint Francis.

Do it Best Corp. has hired Misty Hernandez, accounting specialist; Patrick Luce, assistance merchandise manager, housewares; and Jerry Reff, PC/Web support analyst and promoted Shane Burnworth associate merchandise manager and Susan Rucker member accounts specialist.

Ruoff Home Mortgage announces that Greg Thomas was the top loan originator companywide and Larry Dickey Jr. for the southwest office for the month of June. Thomas has been with the company since 2009 and a mortgage professional since 2005. He was the top loan originator in March and April as well. Dickey has been in the mortgage industry since 1995 and was top loan originator in March and May for the southwest branch.
