BBB event allows you to shred securely

On Saturday, the BBB Serving Northern Indiana, in conjunction with various organizations, invites consumers and businesses to protect their identities by shredding unwanted personal, financial or confidential documents for free 9 a.m.-noon at Afdent's parking lot, 4041 Parnell Ave.

The agency will collect donations for Allen County SPCA, H.O.P.E for Animals and Black Pine Animal Sanctuary (see list below).

Time to keep

Want to know how long to keep bank statements, deposit slips, and all manner of financial records?

The BBB has a list of time that the Internal Revenue Service suggests you keep certain records.
