The Rant is The News-Sentinel's anonymous sound-off forum. The readers' views expressed here do not necessarily reflect the views or opinions of The News-Sentinel. Hey all you union haters. How's your low-paying job going? Scared that you might get fired at any time? Are you paying you bills on time? Have you learned a skill at your job? Keep voting Republican and when you get older there will be nothing for you because they voted it all away.

With wall-to-wall scandals for our government the past couple of weeks, I have to say good things indeed come to those who wait! I'm just loving all of the squirming, lying and passing the buck from these thieves!

A message to all who may be suffering: It's temporary, this place you're in.

In response to the rant that has now appeared twice: Shooting misguided teenagers will not stop the violence, only increase it. The “kids” in uniform need to learn some accountability.

Why is it that people have to pull up so close to a person's back bumper at a stop sign/light. There are times I can't even see the front of their car in my mirrors. It seems to be happening a lot lately, and I wonder sometimes if they're even going to stop.

Thanks to Obamacare, FWCS (Fort Wayne Community Schools) just reduced classified assistants hours from 30 to 25 weekly so that FWCS isn't required to offer us benefits. We are already the lowest-paid employees who actually work with students. This pay cut really hurts! Please, FWCS, don't tell us how much you appreciate our hard work.

(Editor's note: FWCS spokeswoman Krista Stockman said the new health care rules are just part of the reason for the cutback in hours: “It was also due to budget cuts needed even without the change in health care requirements. Over the next two years, we will see a reduction in money from the state, so we knew we would have to make cuts. This change (health care law) just made it happen sooner.”
