I wonder what all the passionate school voucher supporters are going to think when a radical religious group starts a school with Indiana tax dollars. They could daily be taught a fanatic theology more atrocious than a public school ever did at its worst — all with your money!

I know of at least three accidents at the corner of Adams Center and Paulding roads in the past two weeks, and I was a witness of two! Between people not paying attention, playing chicken to cross and speeding, this intersection is becoming very dangerous! Is it going to take someone to get killed to get a stoplight there?

Maybe it's time for Republicans to take a page out of the (President) Obama playbook. During the Benghazi hearings, they should have the families of our murdered ambassador and other embassy workers front and center for maximum effect.

Back in the '80s, the Juvenile Probation Department would take troubled teens to (the former Rahway) State Prison (in New Jersey). This program was called Scared Straight. Maybe Fort Wayne should think about doing this again.

Fort Wayne Community Schools board members really need to spend time inside each school every year. Not with an entourage, but individually walk the halls during class breaks. They might not be so willing to buy into the PR spin they get from school bureaucrats if they see the chaos in our middle schools.

FWCS (Fort Wayne Community Schools) publicly cried about school vouchers being a religious choice for parents, not educational. How blind and dumb do they think the citizens of Fort Wayne are?

Switching the fee for fire hydrants from taxes to water bill lets landlords off the hook — so not cool! Keep the fee where it belongs — on the taxes!

Something appears to be drastically wrong with our government. Why should our taxes have to be wasted for one government agency to investigate another for wrongdoing? This is highly counterproductive. It seems that it would be more cost-efficient to impeach the whole lot and elect new ones before we all go broke.

Dear Mr. Mayor, before you move General Anthony Wayne (statue) would you please repair the Lady statue, where the head is knocked off already for several years, located in the Memorial Park? You can see it very well when you drive on Maumee Avenue.Thumbs down to the UPS driver who drove through the middle of a funeral procession in New Haven on May 14. We realize it's all about keeping on schedule, but, seriously, how much time did you save?

To all of you letter and rant writers who quote the Bible: Enough already. Jesus said to love your fellow man, no matter what.
