The scoreboard said the Aboite Elementary School staff won 80-72 when they played the fifth-graders Thursday in the school's annual charity basketball game.

But the real winner was Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Indiana and the nearly 2,000 children the agency serves through mentoring programs: The game raised $483 for the social-service agency.

Aboite Elementary raised the funds by donating all money from admissions and concession sales to Big Brothers Big Sisters. More than 200 people attended the game.
