HUNTINGTON — Police say several horses ran loose on a highway in northeastern Indiana.

WANE-TV in Fort Wayne reports motorists called the Huntington County Sheriff's Department to report horses running down the median of Interstate 69 on Thursday morning.

The sheriff's department says the horses had escaped from a nearby stable.

WANE says the horses were corralled and returned to their home.

None of the horses was injured.
