Friday, April 19, 2013 - 6:57 pm

Sandbags available in Waynedale, other locations

The city has placed sand in the parking lot on the corner of Bradbury Avenue and Broadripple Drive for residents to use to protect their property. Empty bags are at the location along with the sand but residents should bring their own shovel to fill the bags.

Also, according to Allen County spokesman Michael Green: Empty sandbags and sand are available at both the North Highway Barn (2234 Carroll Road) and South Highway Barn (8317 E. Tillman Road). Residents may stop by either barn and pick up bags to fill until 11 p.m. tonight and again on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
