America, Chicago and Kansas among summer concerts at Foellinger Theatre

Today the Foellinger Outdoor Theatre at Franke Park, 3411 Sherman Blvd., announced its 2013 concert season, “A Summer Like No Other.”In addition to several free concerts and free movies, some nationally known bands will perform, including Chicago, America and Kansas. Tickets go on sale today.

To purchase tickets online, go to www.foellingertheatre.org. To purchase by phone, call 427-6000. To purchase in person, go to the Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation Department, 705 E. State Blvd., 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday. The Foellinger Theatre box office is open 4-10 p.m. on concert days.

4 p.m. May 19, Fort Wayne Philharmonic Youth Symphony and Youth Concert Orchestra; free

8 p.m. May 24, Hotel California: A Salute to the Eagles; $13

Other events at Foellinger include Worship in the Park with Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church 8 a.m. Sundays Memorial Day through Labor Day. Radio station Star 88.3-FM will host two “Free at Foellinger” concerts at 7:30 p.m. June 14 and 28.
