Tonight is the night most of America has been waiting for. I see the status updates on my Facebook newsfeed . Everyone tunes in to see — and hear — “The Voice,” which premieres at 8 p.m. on NBC.
Tonight is special because Season Four features two new coaches: Shakira and Usher. They join Maroon 5's Adam Levine and country music singer Blake Shelton. The four of them will find this season's “The Voice” winner.
Shakira is a Colombian singer-songwriter who has performed with Beyonce and has received numerous awards: two Grammys, nine Latin Grammys, four World Music Awards, three American Music Awards and five Billboard Music Awards.
Seven-time Grammy winner Usher is well-known for his R&B, pop and hip-hop style. His seventh album is “Looking 4 Myself.”
With this musically diverse panel of judges, it's anybody's guess who will win Season Four. Shelton has picked two of the winners, while Levine has picked one.
