Book briefs: Library programs, book club meetings

The adult book group meets at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Aboite branch library, 5630 Coventry Lane. This month's book is “The Lemon Tree,” by Sandy Tolan.The “Classics” adult book group meets at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Dupont branch library, 536 E. Dupont Road. “One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich” by Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn is this month's book.Girls, ages 6-12, can discuss what they're reading at 4 p.m. Monday at Tecumseh branch library, 1411 E. State Blvd.Kids discuss what they read and enjoy a root beer float, too, at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Pontiac branch library, 2215 S. Hanna St.Children can practice their reading skills by reading to friendly dogs that want to listen at these locations:•6:30 p.m. Mondays at Aboite branch library, 5630 Coventry Lane.

•6:30 p.m. Thursdays at Allen County Public Library, 900 Library Plaza.

•4 p.m. Mondays at Grabill branch library, 13521 State St., Grabill.

•5 p.m. Thursdays at Pontiac branch library, 2215 S. Hanna St.
