Police allege Fort Wayne man made drug sale at drive-up window

Friday, March 22, 2013 - 10:15 am

A Fort Wayne man was arrested early Friday and charged with three counts of dealing cocaine.

Fort Wayne Police said James E. Williams, 29, of the 600 block of Congress Ave., is being held in lieu of $150,000 bond. At about 6:40 a.m. Friday, officers of the department's Vice and Narcotics Division and its Emergency Services Team served a search warrant at Williams' address, after a month-long investigation during which detectives said they purchased cocaine three times.

Police said two of those buys were made at the home on Congress and the third was at the drive-up window of a fast-food restaurant on South Anthony Boulevard where Williams worked. Police said they found marijuana, cocaine, drug paraphernalia and a .25-caliber handgun.
