ACAC offers Jay County invitation to join conference

Friday, March 22, 2013 - 12:56 pm

The Allen County Athletics Conference could be expanding its conference farther south and into East Central Indiana.

The ACAC on Thursday formally extended an invitation to Jay County High School to join Fort Wayne area's oldest high school conference.

Bluffton athletics director Steve Thompson stated in an email Thursday that Jay County has not yet accepted the offer to join the ACAC. He also said the high school will decide whether to join the conference at its next school board meeting.

The ACAC is currently comprised of seven schools: Adams Central, Bluffton, Garrett, Heritage, Leo, South Adams and Woodlan.

Jay County is an independent school without a conference.
