A (Indiana) Senate committee voted to approve Bill 373, which makes photographing or filming at a farm and then distributing the content with the intent of defaming or harming the farm illegal. Really? Are they really planning on putting people in jail? So much for free speech. Do the right thing, go to jail.
To all of the … ranters who complain about government spending: If you have never taken government handouts, good for you. But if you take Social Security or Medicare-Medicaid, then you are a hypocrite. You can't have it both ways.
To the anti-gun ranter with the clumsy and bigoted presumption about what pro-gun people eat (unhealthy fast food). I won't speculate about your diet, but I will wonder about the backward and dangerous liberal thinking in your small brain.
Some parents in Sullivan want to have a normal prom like we've always had, not a gay-issue tainted event. After all, homosexual activity is a behavior, not an institution. Keep your sex life, which is your business, to your self. If you can't go to the prom with friends or as a single, skip it.
Before we get too deep into riverfront development, do you think it might be a good idea to stop pumping raw sewage into the rivers?
America's current norm of gross economic inequality depends upon different groups of poor people fighting with each other. The inequality stops when we unite and demand justice.
Great people lead lives that emphasize helping others and promoting peace. In other words, the polar opposite of the Republican values system.
After reviewing videos of bank robberies, I have concluded that Mayor Henry should start a new movement banning hooded sweatshirts. After all, they seem to be the consistent factor prevalent in these robberies. If we remove these hooded shirts, we eliminate the tool used to commit these crimes!
According to Supreme Court Justice (Antonin) Scalia, the right to vote, for which people were beaten and died during my lifetime, is now a “racial entitlement.” This man needs to be impeached!
What is going on in this country? Every adult citizen has a right to vote! If the Supreme Court takes that away, there will be a revolt. People already fought this fight.
Sequestration goes into effect — the first 535 layoffs should go to the Congress! They weren't in Washington … to work on this issue! … Scheduled to work only 126 days this year! Sounds like a part-time job — should only get part-time pay — with no benefits!
Does anyone believe in the impossible? That would be President Obama introducing a budget in March that freezes current spending levels. Forget cuts; he can't help spending like a 5-year-old with money in his pocket.
Why do EACS (East Allen County Schools) board members waste money hiring a superintendent when they actually want to do the job themselves.
When President Obama and his chosen underlings give their theatric speeches on gun control, they shouldn't have victims, children or police standing behind them in support. It should be socialists like the Castros and Chavezes nodding in approval.
We have the Tea Party; we need a No Pay Party. If both parties can't come to an agreement, then no pay or benefits until they can, and no back pay. They are doing it to others with their inactivity.
To the ranter who would warn us about voting for someone “who promises us the moon.” … Get off faux news and learn the truth.
After months of resisting passage, Republicans were finally defeated and the violence against women act was passed. Every women's group in America was in favor, but (some) Republicans don't care about our mothers, daughters, sisters and wives.
It's not Karl Rove who is destroying the Republican Party, it's the tea party. All you ever heard when they were starting is “we are not with any party.” That was a lie, and they still lie. They want to take over the Republican Party, and are going to destroy it in the process.
If Marco Rubio does not end up being the latest star for the Republican Party, it's not because of his awkward water bottle incident. It's because the ideas and beliefs he espoused were the same old stuff the American public rejected in the 2012 election.
Republicans constantly say that government doesn't work. When they are in the government, they then have no incentive for government to work. Thus, they shouldn't be entrusted to be in the government, until they rethink the role of government.
