Shine re-elected chairman of Allen County Republican Party

Saturday, March 2, 2013 - 11:04 am

Steve Shine received 84 percent of the votes cast Saturday morning to retain his chairmanship of the Allen County Republican Party.

Shine received 144 of 169 votes cast out of a possible 227 eligible votes to defeat challenger Jason Arp.

"This shows the rank-and-file is supportive of the direction of the party," Shine said.

Voters re-elected the rest of the board to their same positions: Candy Fries as vice chair; Bob Lee, treasurer; and Tom Rotering, secretary.
