Letter to the editor: Crisis fatigue, anyone?

Thursday, February 28, 2013 - 12:01 am

Ever notice how when Washington has a fiscal crisis, which seems to happen every few months, (anyone else getting “crisis fatigue”?) that President Obama starts to warn of food taken away from starving babies, schools shut down, Social Security checks not going out, the military not being paid, fewer border security agents and the newest one: more criminals on the street because we can’t afford enough prosecutors. I’d be more impressed if he promised a voluntary pay sequester for himself and Congress, while they stopped acting like children and did the job for which we pay them. Or maybe fewer first-family vacations. How long since we’ve had a budget?
