Truck Maintenance moving to new New Haven location with McMahon Tire

Wednesday, February 20, 2013 - 12:01 am

Truck Maintenance is building in a new New Haven location where it will share space with a new McMahon Tire & Car Care.

The store should be open by July on 14 acres just north of the intersection of Moeller and Adams Center roads, near Tippmann Sports, Truck Maintenance founder Rick Memmer said.

Truck Maintenance now operates in two Fort Wayne locations – on the northwest side at 3801 Option Pass and southeast at 2701 Coliseum Blvd. Memmer said the Coliseum Boulevard store will close when the New Haven location goes into business.

McMahon operates a store in Glenbrook Square, 4201 Coldwater Road, and a truck center at 2828 W. Coliseum Blvd. McMahon owners were not available for comment Tuesday.

Truck Maintenance performs commercial fleet repair, but the company is open 24 hours a day, six days a week, performing fleet maintenance and fleet management, too.

Even on Sundays, when mechanics are off, the company's customers can contact mechanics for emergency repair work.

About 40 people, including some part-timers, Because of the good communication and positive relationships with their employees, Truck Maintenance has a very low turnover rate. At this time they employ around 40 employees including some part-timers. Fourteen of the company's workers have been employed there for 15 years or longer. In the last two years, Truck Maintenance has added fork lift repair to its services and started commercial-vehicle sales.

Memmer and his son, Andrew Memmer, are co-owners of Truck Maintenance.
