Fort Wayne will send three girls high school basketball teams to next Saturday's semistate games.

South Side, Bishop Luers and Canterbury won regional championships on Saturday to move on to the next step in the Indiana state tournament.

Class 4A

South Side needed overtime to reach the title game, then cruised to a 71-55 win over Logansport in the Class 4A Kokomo Regional. The Archers claimed the second regional title in school history, with the first coming in 2008. Ariana Simmons scored 20 points with 15 rebounds in the title game.

South Side beat Westfield 57-56 in overtime in the semifinal game, with Simmons scoring 21 and Lynnia Noel with 12.

Logansport beat Snider 56-50 in the other semifinal game. Meredith Shipman scored 19 and Deja Wimby 12 for Snider in the loss. Snider finished 20-4.

South (23-3) will play Warsaw (24-1) in the Warsaw Semistate.

Class 3A

Concordia reached the championship game of the Class 3A Bellmont Regional by beating NorthWood 42-39 on a last-second nearly halfcourt shot at the buzzer by Olivia Hahn. “We told her in a timeout, you gotta get your legs in your shot and shoot it with confidence,” Concordia coach Dave Miller said. “It's one of those (shots) you're happy it goes in, it doesn't go in too often.”

Concordia was led by Courtney Smith with 13 points, Dejour Young 10 and Hahn nine.

Alas, the magic wore off in the championship game as the Cadets came back from a second-half deficit, but lost to Hamilton Heights 65-62 in the title game. Smith scored 30 points in the loss. Concordia finished 18-7.

Hamilton Heights beat Norwell 60-58 to knock out the Knights in the other semifinal game. Norwell was led by Paige Frisch with 16 points and Taylor Wilson with 10. Norwell finished 21-4.

Class 2A

Bishop Luers beat Boone Grove 67-40 to win the Class 2A Rochester Regional, claiming the school's 12th regional championship. Tashayla Sutorius scored 23, Alison Butler 15 and Emma Wolfe 11.

Luers reached the title game with a 71-48 win over Westview. Butler scored 21, Addie Reimbold 16 and Taya Andrews 12 in the semifinal win.

Luers (14-11) will play Eastern (21-3) in the Warsaw Semistate.

Class A

No.1 Canterbury faced No.2 Oregon-Davis in the championship game of the Class A Caston Regional, but it looked like a sizeable gap between the two best teams. The defending state champion Cavaliers ran away with a 79-54 win.

Darby Maggard led Canterbury with 23 points. Kindell Fincher added 17 and Aaliyah Gaines 13.

Canterbury beat West Central 95-54 in the regional semifinal game.

Canterbury (23-3) will play Lafayette Central Catholic (17-9) in the Crown Point Semistate.
