Baroque festival and concert

Fort Wayne's Bach Collegium has planned a special weekend of Baroque entertainment. Friday events include a German dinner benefit at 6:30 p.m. at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 202 W. Rudisill Blvd. Tickets are $20 and are available at http://bachcollegium.com.
An early instruments concert takes place after dinner, at 7:30 p.m., also at Redeemer Lutheran Church. Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for students and $35 for the German dinner and concert and are available at the website.
The festival continues with St. Matthew Passion by the Bach Collegium Ensemble, Fort Wayne Children's Choir and the children's choirs of St. Paul and Concordia Theological Seminary at 7 p.m. Sunday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 1126 Barr St. Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for students, which are available at the website.
English Concert, a baroque orchestra from London, will perform at Goshen College in a Performing Arts Series concert at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the college's Sauder Concert Hall, Goshen.
The orchestra, which was formed in 1973, plays classical music on period instruments. The group has performed chamber music across the United States, Europe and the Middle East.
