Hornet coach 'excited' about facing Cadets for title

Saturday, February 09, 2013 12:01 am
Angola High School girl's basketball coach John Berger spoke with The News-Sentinel following his team's victory over Garrett in the semi-final of the IHSAA Class 3A Girl's Basketball Sectional on Friday at Bishop Dwenger. We knew if we kept the pressure on them they would begin to turn the ball over and be impatient. We were a little shaky at the beginning shooting the ball, but felt like we were in control of the tempo (early) with our defensive pressure. They beat us here in (Bishop Dwenger's gym), so it is exciting to play them again. Concordia has all the confidence in the world since they are the defending state champions. Two years ago we didn't have the confidence, but I think we have the confidence this year.”Concordia Lutheran is very, very good. Very athletic and like to run the floor also, so it should be quite exciting, maybe a little track meet out there.
