A jury in Fort Wayne has found a man guilty of four counts of attempted murder for shooting at an ambulance rushing a stabbing victim to a hospital and a car following it.

The Allen County jury deliberated less than an hour Wednesday before also convicting 23-year-old Dontay Martin of two counts of criminal recklessness and one count each of battery and gun and gang charges.

Each vehicle was hit with 16 to 20 gunshots and three women in the car and a medic suffered injuries.

Defense attorneys argued witnesses who testified against Martin did so under plea deals with prosecutors.

A second man, 24-year-old Traneilous Jackson, pleaded guilty to seven counts last week and faces a possible sentence of 60 years when he's sentenced.
