Fort Wayne, Goshen frozen yogurt shops earn state awards

Lt. Governor Sue Ellspermann was to join business leaders from across the state to present 20 companies, including two from northeast Indiana, with the Indiana Small Business Development Center's Economic Development through Growth and Entrepreneurship (EDGE) Awards at a Statehouse ceremony Wednesday afternoon.Sponsored by the Indiana Economic Development Corp.'s Small Business Development Centers, the awards recognize clients of the agency's 10 regional offices throughout the state in two categories – emerging and established. Recipients are chosen by their regional centers.

Yum Yums, Yogurt U Make of Fort Wayne and Honey's Frozen Yogurt of Goshen were receiving awards in the Emerging Category.

Together, these businesses represent 195 full-time Indiana jobs and in total finished 2012 with more than $6 million in sales.
