Cadet forward scores team-best 15 in big win

Saturday, February 2, 2013 - 2:09 am

Concordia Lutheran earned a huge SAC win over Northrop on Friday and was paced by D.J. McCall with 15 points.

McCall spoke with The News-Sentinel following the game.

On matching Northrop's up-tempo style:

We were comfortable with running the floor. We know that against Northrop if you run too much, you can get out of control and helps them, so we had to be a little careful at times.

On the final seconds of the game:

We said during timeouts and free throws that we needed to leave it all out on the floor, this was a big game for us.

On what the victory means:

Yeah, we didn't win the SAC. But this is still a big win in front of a lot of fans. It really prepares us for what we are going to see in sectionals.
