Mad Ants forward Luke Harangody has been named the NBA Development League Player of the Month for January.
Harangody, a former standout at Notre Dame, averaged 21.5 points and 13 rebounds per game while leading the Ants to an 8-4 record during the stretch. He had 10 double-doubles (points and rebounds) during the stretch. He capped it with a 29-point, 13-rebound effort in the Ants' 115-109 win over Maine on Thursday at Memorial Coliseum.
This is his first time being named D-League Player of the Month.
Harangody was named to the 2013 NBA D-League Showcase First Team after averaging 22.5 points and 14 rebounds in the team's two showcase wins, and was named NBA D-League Performer of the Week for games played January 7-13.
The Mad Ants return to play at Canton on Saturday night.
