After the worker tried unsuccessfully to open the cash drawer, Dennison allegedly turned to a female customer behind her and demanded the woman's purse at gunpoint, the statement said. Dennison then allegedly fled the store with the purse, which contained an undisclosed amount of cash and several credit cards.
At the time of the robbery, the suspect was identified only as a woman who appeared to be in her early 20s, but police have since identified her as Dennison with help from the public, the statement said.
Two warrants – one for robbery and another for attempted robbery – have been issued for Dennison's arrest. The sheriff's department asked Thursday for anyone with knowledge of her whereabouts to call the warrants division, 449-7636, or county dispatch, 449-7661.
Dennison sometimes goes by the name Traci L. Copeland, the statement said.
