Allen County Council on Thursday is expected to consider incentives that would save Parco about $12,000 in taxes should it occupy a 55,000-square-foot building at 9100 Front St. The company would qualify for the two-year abatement through its reuse of an empty building. The structure has been vacant since 2012 until it was purchased at a sheriff's sale in December by Moon River, a real estate holding company working with Parco.
Founded more than 50 years ago, Parco specializes in extruded aluminum products and currently employs 18 people at its 16335 Lima Road plant with total salaries of $635,000. The new jobs would pay a total of $218,000. The company had sales of about $3 million last year.
