Book briefs: Libraries offer e-book training and e-reader fairs

Learn how to download eBooks from the library's website at 2 p.m. Thursday and at 7 p.m. Monday at Aboite branch library, 5630 Coventry Lane; and at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Dupont branch library, 536 E. Dupont Road.Learn about several kinds of eReaders available and learn how to download eBooks from the library's website at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Woodburn branch library, 4701 Indiana 101 N.; and 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Thursday at Allen County Public Library, 900 Library Plaza.The Faculty Writer's Group at Ivy Tech Community College Northeast is sponsoring a writing contest to benefit Three Rivers Institute of Afrikan Art & Culture (TRIAAC).To help contestants, the writer's group will hold writing workshops Feb. 16 at Faith United Methodist Church, 207 E. DeWald St. Cost is $25. Participation in workshops is not required for entering the creative writing contest. Contest deadline is March 1.

Contest entry fee is $10 for adults and $5 for children.
