Indiana University-Purdue University announced Wednesday that it will hold its spring graduation exercise in the afternoon rather than the evening as in previous years. The 2013 celebration will be held at 4 p.m. May 15 at Memorial Coliseum, 4000 Parnell Ave. Previous graduations were held at 7 p.m., said Marianne Messmann, IPFW's coordinator of academic ceremonies.

The new time was decided on, with input from Indiana Purdue Student Government Association, so graduates would have more time to celebrate after the ceremony with family and friends, according to an IPFW news release. The ceremony is expected to last until about 6:30 p.m.

It will be IPFW's 46th annual commencement.
