Faith briefs: Come As You Are plans Christmas programs; Compassionate Friends' memorial service Sunday

COME AS YOU ARE COMMUNITY CHURCH, 7910 S. Anthony Blvd., will present a citywide Christmas musical at 6 p.m. Dec. 15. The church also will present the Christmas production “Take Me To The King” at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 18.CONCORDIA THEOLOGICAL SEMINARY, 6600 N. Clinton St., will hold Advent Candlelight Choral Vespers at 4 p.m. Sunday in Kramer Chapel. The Seminary Guild meets at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Kramer Chapel.

CRESCENT AVENUE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 1232 Crescent Ave., will have a Taize meditation and worship service at 5 p.m. Sunday.

FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, McMillen Chapel, 300 W. Wayne St., will hold a worldwide candle lighting service of remembrance and hope for parents who have lost a child, siblings who have lost a brother or sister, and grandparents who have lost a grandchild at 6:30 p.m. Sunday. LAKEWOOD PARK BAPTIST CHURCH, 5555 DeKalb County Road 29, Auburn, will have a Festival of Lights at 7 p.m. Thursday-Friday and 3 and 7 p.m. Saturday-Sunday.

LIFETREE CAFE, New Ground Coffee Co., 5925 N. Clinton St. in Washington Square, will show a film about director Tom Shadyac at 7 p.m. today.

MEMORIAL COLISEUM, 4000 Parnell Ave., will hold a Pearl Harbor remembrance ceremony at 7 p.m. Friday.

ST. PATRICK CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2120 S. Harrison St., will celebrate the feast day of Our Lady of Guadalupe on Sunday. After a 12:30 p.m. Mass, which includes Aztec and Ecuadorian dancers, a procession will walk to the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception to present Bishop Rhoades with a gift and have an Aztec dance performance. Afterward, everyone will walk back to St. Patrick for a 4:30 p.m. celebration.

TRINITY ENGLISH LUTHERAN CHURCH, 405 W. Wayne St., will have Breakfast with an Angel for preschool and elementary students and families 10-11 a.m. Saturday. It includes breakfast and an angel craft.
