The twin duo that led Bellmont to a sectional championship will end their junior seasons with all-state accolades.
The ICGSA announced Friday that Bellmont setter Bailee Hankenson was selected Class 3A First-Team All-State, while outside attacker Holly Hankenson earned Second-Team All-State honors.
Bellmont was ranked as high as No. 2 in the Class 3A statewide coaches poll during the regular season. After winning its seventh consecutive sectional title, Bellmont lost the state runner-ups Yorktown in regionals.
This is the second consecutive year that Bailee Hankenson was an all-state selection. As a sophomore, the setter was a Class 3A Second-Team All-State selection last year.
The Hankenson twins were the only Fort Wayne area players to be named to a girls volleyball all-state team.
