Resurfacing set for U.S. 24 near I-69

Monday, November 5, 2012 - 6:27 pm

The Indiana Department of Transportation said resurfacing of U.S. 24 between Manor Woods Parkway and Interstate 69 will require some daytime lane restrictions on Wednesday. The work is expected to occur in three places: on the eastbound U.S. 24 shoulder area, between the entrance ramp to southbound I-69 and the I-69 bridge; on the exit ramp from southbound I-69 to westbound US 24; and on the US 24 westbound right turn/shoulder for Liberty Mills Road, between Coventry Lane and Liberty Mills Road.

Drivers should watch for arrow boards, flaggers, cones and barrels to direct traffic as needed while the work is in progress, and should be aware of merging construction traffic and shoulder work. Motorists can expect delays, and are encouraged to find an alternate route.

The project is scheduled for completion in early November 2012, weather permitting.
