TRIN, an automotive parts supplier, announced plans Friday to expand its operations in Ashley, creating up to 75 new jobs by 2016. The company, which makes automotive interior switches and sensors, will invest $19 million to upgrade its manufacturing capabilities and add 46,000 square feet to its existing facility at 803 H.L. Thompson Jr. Drive. Construction is set to begin this month.

TRIN, which currently has 134 full-time employees in Ashley, plans to begin hiring additional manufacturing and production associates next year.

The Indiana Economic Development Corp. offered TRIN up to $455,000 in conditional tax credits and up to $95,000 in training grants.
