The Headwaters Park Outdoor Ice Skating Rink will open at noon Nov. 18 for its 10th season with a free skating afternoon from noon- 4 p.m. The free Admission fees will be waived for all skaters during those four hours, thanks to a gift from the Lincoln Financial Group, which is the corporate sponsor for the season. Prices are still $3 for children 13 and under and $5 for children 14 and over and adults. There is a $2 charge to rent skates, or patrons can bring their own skates. Every Wednesday, Nov. 28-Feb. 27, will be a free skate day for children 13 and under, thanks to grants from the Lupke and Auer foundations, the Headwaters Park Alliance reports.
