Also, Eagles thinking of sacking their own quarterback

Tuesday, October 30, 2012 - 2:14 am

Thunder rolls with reverberating trade

James Harden was traded from the Oklahoma City Thunder to the Houston Rockets as part of a multi-player and draft-pick deal this weekend. The deal almost fell apart over the Thunder's marketing department lobbying to retain possession of Harden's beard.

Some injuries are worse than others

University of South Carolina running back Marcus Lattimore hyperextended his right knee against Tennessee. It was so gruesome to watch, even Joe Theismann had to look away.

Next man up, and the next, and the next

Idaho has dismissed two players, including starting quarterback Dominique Blackman, and suspended a third, about a week after firing coach Robb Akey. On a positive note, the marching band sounds great during warm-ups.
