Property taxes due Nov. 13; many options available

Allen County Treasurer Sue Orth reminds property owners that fall property taxes must be to her office or postmarked by Nov.13 to avoid penalty.Payments can be mailed to the Allen County Treasurer, Box 2540, Fort Wayne IN 46801-2540. Information about how to pay on line can be found at www.allencountytreasurer.us. If you have misplaced your bill, a new bill can be printed from this site. Follow the links on the home page.

Payment can also be made at Allen County banks listed on the back of the tax bill. You must have your tax statement when paying at a bank.

To pay at the treasurer's office, go to the Rousseau Centre, 1 E Main St., Suite 104. Bring your entire statement. Hours are 8: a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. The deposit slot in the front of the office is available from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Taxpayers can deposit thei payments in the night depository for the Clerk of the Court and Allen County Treasurer located on Main Street in front of the Courthouse. Also available is the night depository at any Star Financial Bank location.
