Police said preliminary reports indicate the man who was struck was involved in a domestic dispute inside a vehicle in the 500 block of East Brackenridge Street prior to the crash. During the dispute, the victim exited the passenger seat and began jumping on the hood of the vehicle. When the he stopped jumping on the hood, the female he was arguing with was able to drive away. Shortly thereafter, the Three Rivers Ambulance Authority supervisor was driving eastbound in the 500 block of East Brackenridge Street, police said, adding that reports indicate the victim intentionally jumped in front of the Three Rivers Ambulance Authority vehicle as it drove past him.
This incident remains under investigation by the City of Fort Wayne Police Department, and the Allen County Prosecuting Attorney's Office. The Fort Wayne Fire Department and Three Rivers Ambulance Authority helped at the scene.
