Piano showcaseQuilt show

This unique concert features faculty and selected students in the piano area in IPFW's Department of Music. The concert begins at 5 p.m. Saturday in the Rhinehart Recital Hall at 2101 Coliseum Blvd. E.
Tickets are $7 for adults, $6 for seniors ages 60 and older, $4 for non-IPFW students, and free for ages 10 and under and IPFW students with ID. Call 481-6555 or visit www.ipfw.edu/music.
RSVP's 31st annual quilt show takes place 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday-Saturday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 500 E. Seventh St., Auburn. Admission is $5. Parking is free.
The quilt show features textile quilts, coverlets and rugs dating to 1847, and it is a tribute to DeKalb County historian John Martin Smith and his wife, Bobbie Smith, who died in a traffic accident in October 2011.
A special program explaining the history of the Smith's coverlet collection is at 6 p.m. Friday. Cost is $10, and refreshments will be served.
