"From Fort Wayne to Evansville, established, global companies recognize the value of doing business in the Hoosier State," said Dan Hasler, Secretary of Commerce and chief executive officer of the Indiana Economic Development Corporation. "VOSS' growth and commitment to Indiana bring new jobs for Hoosiers and reinforce northeast Indiana's economic strength."
VOSS, which recently added 19 new positions in Fort Wayne, will continue to fill high-wage jobs across the company as part of the project.
"Fort Wayne and the state of Indiana have been instrumental in helping us serve our customers and expand our business in North America," said Eduardo Vultorius, chief executive officer of VOSS. "The combination of a great location and a skilled, motivated and hardworking workforce will continue to help VOSS secure growth and success for many years to come."
Originally founded in Germany in 1931, VOSS established its North American headquarters in Fort Wayne in 1997. It specializes in line and connection technology for fuel, coolant and selective catalytic reduction systems for commercial vehicles and passenger cars.
The Indiana Economic Development Corp. offered VOSS up to $400,000 in conditional tax credits based on the company's job creation plans. These tax credits are performance-based, meaning until Hoosiers are hired, the company is not eligible to claim incentives. Allen County will consider additional property tax abatement at the request of the Fort Wayne-Allen County Economic Development Alliance.
