The Children's Village preschool Class of 2012 had a graduation ceremony Thursday morning.
This was the first year the school has had an official ceremony, although it has been open since 2006. The 16 students will move on to kindergarten next year.
School director Kathy Lehman said they wanted to do the ceremony so the kids could get a sense of what it really means to accomplish what they have, and to inspire them as they move on to kindergarten.
The children recited poems for the audience and showed pictures they had drawn of what they would like to be when they grow up. Their future plans were as varied as their names – from a store manager to a boxer to a doctor and a teacher.
