•IPFW announces the following appointments and promotions. Ann Obergfell has been approved as dean of the College of Health and Human Services. She graduated from the Parkview Hospital School of Radiography and earned an associate of science in radiologic technology at IPFW. She received her bachelor of science in health service management from IUPUI and a juris doctorate from the University of Louisville School of Law. John O'Connell has been appointed interim dean of the College of Visual and Performing Arts. He received a bachelor of arts cum laude from Moorhead State University, Moorhead, Minn., and a master of fine arts in directing from the University of Alabama. James Burg has been appointed interim dean of the College of Education and Public Policy. He received a bachelor of arts in psychology and a master of arts in family studies with specialization in marriage and family therapy both from Michigan State University and a Ph.D. with specialization in marriage and family therapy from Purdue University. Steven T. Sarratore, currently the associate vice chancellor for academic affairs, will become interim vice chancellor for academic affairs July 1. He will replace William McKinney who is leaving IPFW to become the president of Valdosta State University in Georgia. He received a bachelor of arts in theater with high honors from Michigan State University and a master of fine arts in theater design from Wayne State University.
•Sean O'Brien and Tom Grand of Historic Fort Wayne and Tyler Baker, Brent Harring, Brad Shank and Austin Allen (The Bad Apple Dancers) for the Fort Wayne TinCaps have received a 2012 Lt. Governor's Hoosier Hospitality Award for their high level of service in tourism-related jobs at hotels, restaurants, attractions and other destinations.
•Morrison Kattman Menze has promoted Zachary Benedict, AIA, LEED APE, as partner. He received a master of architecture degree from Ball State University and is a registered architect.
•Do it Best Corp. President and CEO Bob Taylor has been inducted into the Home Channel Hall of Fame for outstanding service to the hardware and home improvement industry. He was the sole 2012 inductee. He joined Do it Best Corp. in 2001 and was named president and CEO in 2002.
•lia sophia consultant Julia Hardin has been named an Excellent Beginnings Achiever for her outstanding sales accomplishment and professionalism during the first 15 weeks in business.
In addition, Stephanie Roach has been promoted from advisor to unit manager. She earned this level through personal sales accomplishments and by motivating others to achieve success.
• Manchester College has promoted Michael DeBisschop, Pharm.D., to executive associate dean of the School of Pharmacy. He will oversee all aspects of the lead development of academic standards and curriculum. He earned his doctor of pharmacy from the University of Michigan College of Pharmacy and was an academic leadership fellow of the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy.
•Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance Allen-Adams Agency announces that Ken Gaffer has been promoted to agency manager. He has more than 29 years of experience in the insurance and financial services industry.
•Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Zeta Eta Chapter, recently recognized Carmen Moore, BSN, RN, community health nurse consultant, Parkview Community Nursing for advocating and Tamala Guyton, MSN, FNP, RN, Parkview Physicians Group-Family Medicine for caring.
•Indiana Tech Law School welcomes Jessica L. Anderson as assistant dean for admissions. She will be responsible for recruiting law students and creating materials that provide information about the school and city of Fort Wayne. Ruth deWit has been hired as administrative assistant. She has 12 years experience working in a legal environment.
•GAI Consultants has added Jeffrey L. Weaver, P.E., to its Fort Wayne office. He has 25-plus years experience. He earned a bachelor of science in civil and architectural engineering technology from Purdue University and is a licensed professional engineer in Ohio and Indiana.
•Huntington University director of undergraduate admissions Nate Perry has been named 2012 Staff Member of the Year. He has been employed by the university for 12 years. He graduated from Huntington in 2000 with a degree in business management and a minor in marketing. He oversees the daily activities, strategic planning and marketing of the undergraduate recruitment office.

Eilers, assistant professor of theology, was named the 2012 Professor of the Year.
•Peerless Cleaners Certified Restoration Drycleaning Network of Northern Indiana announces that Annette Bowen has received the 2011 Sales Professional of the Year-Sales per Household by Territory Fort Wayne and 2011 Sales Professional of the Year Mid-Market Runner Up for Fort Wayne Territory award. Also, Steve Grashoff received the Million Dollar Partner Award. The awards were presented April 25-28 at the convention in Bonita Springs, Fla.
