HOUSTON — Houston police say a murder warrant has been issued for one rapper accused of killing another in an apparent jealous rage.
Police have announced the charge against 19-year-old Jordan Quentin Wilson, who remains at large.
Investigators say 20-year-old Toyurean Young was fatally shot May 4 in the parking lot of a fast food restaurant.
Court documents Tuesday indicated Wilson and Young were in a rap group together, then Wilson went out on his own. A witness told police that Wilson grew increasingly jealous as Young's success grew.
Wilson allegedly had been using social media to threaten and challenge Young. Police say the victim said the name "Jordan" to emergency personnel after being shot. Young later died at a hospital.
