Adult store held up

A man reportedly held up an east-side adult entertainment store Wednesday after browsing the store's merchandise.

Fort Wayne Police were called to Boudoir Noir, 1002 Coliseum Blvd. N., where an employee said a man came in to shop, according to a police incident report.

After the man perused, the employee said he asked her about some of the merchandise, then proceeded to the cash register, apparently prepared to check out, the report said. Instead, the man brandished a handgun and demanded money from the employee, the report said. After he was given an undisclosed amount of cash, the man fled, the report said. A K-9 track was ineffective, the report said.

Pottery store robbed

A north-side pottery store was robbed Wednesday by a man reportedly with a gun and a knife.

City police were summoned to Bisque It Pottery Painting Studio, 7605 Coldwater Road, after an employee reported being robbed, according to a police incident report.

The employee told police a man came in, walked to the front counter and demanded money, the report said. The man told the employee he had a gun and a knife, though he didn't show either, the report said.

The employee handed over an undisclosed amount of cash to the man before he ran out the back door of the store, the report said. A K-9 track led police to a nearby residential street, but ended there.

Licenses suspended over warrant refusal

A city title company and the president of a mortgage company have had their licenses suspended after refusing to hand over information required through an examination warrant.

Fort Wayne Title and Joseph Garretson, president of Fort Wayne Mortgage Corp., allegedly did not pay off loans and did not properly disburse funds held in escrow as closing agents, Indiana Insurance Commissioner Carol Cutter said Thursday. Garretson had been barred in September from operating as a mortgage broker.

The investigation included the Secretary of State's Securities Division, the Indiana Department of Insurance and the Allen County Prosecutor's Office. Anyone with real estate business involving Fort Wayne Title or Garretson should contact John Logsdon with the Department of Insurance at 1-317-234-5152 or at jlogsdon@idoi.in.gov.

A clinic today is not public.

Those currently eligible for vaccination include pregnant women, people who live with or care for infants less than 6 months of age, people ages 6 months old to 24 years, adults age 25-64 with chronic health conditions, and health care and emergency medical services personnel. Children under age 10 need two vaccine doses, four weeks apart, to be protected, according to the release. Parents should bring a child's H1N1 vaccination card to get the second dose.
