Copies of The News-Sentinel's latest book “Allen County Photo Album 1955-59” have arrived at Fort Wayne Newspapers.

Starting today, those who pre-ordered the book and did not request shipping may visit the Fort Wayne Newspapers lobby, 600 W. Main St. 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday to collect their book. Please bring identification.

Books for those customers who paid for shipping were mailed this week.

Also starting today, additional books may be purchased in the lobby of Fort Wayne Newspapers at the retail price of $29.95. The books will also be available for purchase at the following Fort Wayne locations:

♦Mitchell Books, Covington Plaza, 6360 W. Jefferson Blvd.

♦Every Other Book, 3208 Crescent Ave.

♦Hyde Brothers Booksellers, 1428 Wells St.

♦Fort Wayne/Allen County Convention and Visitors Bureau, 1021 S. Calhoun St.

♦The History Center, 302 E. Berry St.

Also, copies of the book will be available for sale at a book signing and slide show starting at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Allen County Public Library's downtown library.

The book features hundreds of photos from the newspaper's archives from the last half of the 1950s.

More than 375 photos from the books are available as museum-quality prints through The News-Sentinel's Web site. Photo gifts, such as coffee mugs, holiday ornaments and stationery, are also available.
