A 1933 Duesenberg Model SJ "Sweep Panel" Phaeton sold for $2.3 million, the top-selling vehicle at Auctions America's annual Auburn Fall auction. The Phaeton sale made it the most valuable car sold in Auctions America history, according to a news release. The second-highest vehicle, a 1929 Duesenberg Model J Convertible Coupe by Fleetwood, sold for $990,000. Sales at the Thursday-Sunday annual auction totaled $19.2 million, with 79 percent of the lots sold from the more than 700 vehicles and over 250 lots of memorabilia offered, according to the news release. The auction of a private tour for four of Jay Leno’s personal garage on Saturday afternoon raised $35,000 for JDM Foundation, created by the former "The Tonight Show" host and his wife, Mavis, and Honor Flight Northeast Indiana. Auctions America gave $25,000 from the sale for Hurricane Harvey relief.
