'Sister Act' auditions Sept. 10

The University of Saint Francis School of Creative Arts will hold open auditions for "Sister Act: The Musical" at 6 p.m. Sept. 10 at the USF North Campus, Room 209, 2702 Spring St.. The production is being directed by Brad Beauchamp. 

The production team is seeking a diverse cast of singers, dancers, and actors, ages 17-65 or older. All auditionees will be required to participate in the movement audition.

Jesters present Second City Oct. 5-7 The Jesters of the University of Saint Francis will present Second City Theatre Chicago for a guest artist residency October 5-7. Based on the work of Viola Spolin, Second City has established itself as the world's leading school of improvisation and has developed an adaptive program for people with developmental disabilities. 

The Fort Wayne residency will feature workshops for community professionals, students and people with intellectual and developmental disabilities who are participating in the 2017-2018 Jesters performing arts program. All activities will be held at the University of Saint Francis North Campus Auditorium, 2702 Spring St.

Community Foundation gives Ballet $20,000

Fort Wayne Ballet has been awarded a grant in the amount of $20,000 by the Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne. These funds will be used to help fund the 2017-2018 season of Fort Wayne Ballet.
